SPECIALIZED S-WORKS TT 5 BLACK

The S-Works TT 5 helmet is an excellent example of our “Made in Racing” approach. Remco Evenepoel and Kasper Asgreen from Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl spent countless hours in our Win Tunnel until we created the fastest time-trial helmet ever made.

Using CFD modeling, the helmet team reshaped the time-trial helmet, placing the rear of the helmet closer to the rider’s shoulders. This reduces the air turbulence that causes aerodynamic drag.

The S-Works TT 5 helmet features a Class 1 optical shield for zero distortion when looking at the road, unlike traditional lenses that are usually formed from draped clear plastic. The shield also has a hydrophobic coating to repel moisture if the weather changes on race day, as well as a premium EN166 anti-fog coating.

The Occipital Base Adjustment system optimizes comfort by adjusting the fit to the individual head shape, and the helmet angle can be adjusted for compatibility with glasses. An adjustable Tri-Fix web system provides additional comfort with a redesigned, thinner 10 mm strap system that minimizes strap noise.

Our ultra-light and extremely comfortable MIPS Node Air technology is integrated directly into the helmet padding, with a sleek low-friction layer designed to dissipate rotational forces. Thanks to Specialized’s in-house development, we added perforations to maximize breathability, performance, comfort, and weight savings.
